Invest in Discovery. Empower Student Researchers.

Research transforms education. When students move beyond the classroom and engage in authentic scientific discovery, they develop the critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills that prepare them for graduate school, healthcare careers, industry positions, and leadership roles. Hands-on opportunities in the research process allow students to become active contributors to knowledge rather than simply learning from textbooks. However, these opportunities and projects require the purchase of research supplies to investigate molecular (a Biotage and Florescence Microscope) to human systems (metabolic testing and anaerobic power assessment tools) for students to gain experiences that distinguish them as future scientists and professionals.

Scientific discovery depends on access to reliable, state-of-the-art equipment. Your support helps equip the laboratory space with laboratory technology and specialized research tools that students and faculty use to collect data, develop technical skills, and answer complex questions.

When you invest in scientific research at UNW in the Health Science, Biology & Biochemistry degrees, you are investing in:

Experiential learning opportunities that transform education
Faculty-student collaborations that inspire innovation
Improved laboratory and research spaces
Advanced technology and equipment
The next generation of scientists, healthcare professionals, and leaders

Every gift helps provide students with the opportunity to investigate the world God has created by asking questions, seeking answers, and developing the skills needed to make a meaningful impact on the world.
